On a different note, I was asked by someone today to identify the movie which has this dialog "kehte hai, ke agar kisi bhi cheez ko dil se chaho to puri qayanaat tumhe use milaane ki koshish mein lag jaati hai"
I know that it was from a Shah Rukh movie but I somehow got Kajol in the picture and completely got confused. I found that quote quite powerful, and out of an impulse, set my status message on my IM to "When you fervently wish for something, all the universe conspires to help you fulfull it".

In 1988, Paul Coelho used the same concept in his novel 'The Alchemist'. He gave a positive spin to it and wrote "and when you want something, all the universe conspires to help you achieve"
In 2007, the screen writers of the movie 'Om Shanti Om', Farha and Mushtaq Ahmend, translated this sentence into Urdu and created this dialog that was thrown at me today. Thats the story.
My take on the Law of Attraction?
There are definitely some very powerful personal experiences (spread over the last 10 years) in my life where my conscious (and sometimes subconscious) mind seemed to have guided my experiences. There is no logical explanation to why things happened the way they happened. Based on these experiences, I feel there is more to what we understand about the universe. However, I find it difficult to believe that something that we don't understand can be used for our advantage. Just thinking of positive things won't make positive things happen to you. Life is much more complicated than that for sure.
