This is probably the happiest day for papa and me. You are born! And we name you Raunak--a Hindi word that means radiance. We expected a girl and wanted to name her Ranjana ('
Ran'jit + Kalp'
ana'). But God had other plans. You are a tiny 5 pounds baby. This is going to sound very filmy (means movie like) but you have a birth mark a little above your left knee-exactly like Papa!
Picture time: The pictures are not very clear as I clicked the photos from my album with my BlackBerry.Papa with an amazed expression on his face just after you were born :)![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhqblaK03vZKeKFcezP-300N3XhAgOjqm9DHFf43GMwL7VbS289M6AR6j3a8Bnbv3nuWVf4RPphMwLKSF13NJzAstG3Q_DrTafYEw2A3f6MNjtL2nWmJm_mpQooZ7HYmY7vhet0e_qW8lt0/s200/raunak+1.jpg)
That is Dr. Naina Singh. My doctor during my pregnancy. Look at me! I look so chubby! This picture was taken almost immediately after you were born.
